whiteboard animation

This animation is known as whiteboard animation, this type of animation was fun making, it was easy aswell. however coming up with the idea on what to do and create was a little difficult. This is because our set task for that lesson was that we had to start off with one object and form it to another.

I find whiteboard animation much easier than claymation this is because you simply rub off and re draw, as for claymation you have to mould, and claymation might fall apart.

This is an example of dranw cell animation i drew this by following the animation contsruction. I added a few extras to make it my own drawing by adding the bow and the colours.

Many childrens cartoon use this type of structure for different frames. Cartoons such as 'Tom and Jerry', disney movies as well like 'Cinderella'. All cartoons are created by using the same structure. However now some animators use computers instead of by hand, this way is easier.

Some of the most famouse aniumators use this animation, 'Walt disney', he was famouse for his disney movies and was very good at it. Wlat disney was discovered in 1923 and was used as an inspiration for making other cartoon animation movies until now.

Animation is a sequence of many pictures of models, 2D or 3D artwork. In the process of making a cartoon theses are set aline to create an illusion of movement. This is known as an optical illusion of motion.

Frames: Is the amount of images per second in a animation film 2D or 3D. For example if someone was to create a 30min production, it will require 43200 frames, which is an enormouse amount of drawing, thats why some animators prefer using computers.

Object Animation

This is a video of an object animation that i helped to make in college, it took 2 hours to make, and it was an 18 second clip.

Object animation - object animation is a stop motion animation which includes the moving around of objects which are non- drawn.

It was fun to make but very long and tiring. it wasnt the frist time i create a stop motion, last year i had a go at it, using lego, and creating different games with it i.e snake and tetrus.

What is good about object animation is that you can create anything with it, if it were a scene, backround, story and loads more.

Wat is not so good about it is that its alot of hard work and takes a very long time, you also have to be very careful with the movements by making sure it stays the same pace, so it will run smoothly when you watch it.
